You can add a Sony A7 III 4K camera ($40) and DJI Mic 3 wireless audio system ($20) for a complete recording setup.
How much does a podcast studio cost in Los Angeles?
Podcast studio rentals in Los Angeles typically range from $50 to $200+ per hour, depending on equipment, soundproofing, and crew availability. Knows Studios is $100 per hour with a 2-hour minimum — which includes pre-lit CYC wall, soundproofing, vanity room, and on-site crew. Add camera and audio for $60/session, and you have a complete video podcast setup for $260 (2-hour minimum).
Do I need to bring my own camera and microphones?
Not necessarily. We offer a Sony A7 III 4K camera ($40 add-on) and DJI Mic 3 wireless audio system ($20 add-on) — both professional-grade tools. If you have your own gear, bring it. If not, our optional equipment delivers broadcast-quality results without the upfront investment in cameras and mics.
Is the space soundproofed?
Yes. Knows Studios features soundproofing and acoustic treatment to minimize external noise and room echo. While not an isolation booth, the space is designed to deliver clean, professional podcast audio. Most podcasters use the DJI Mic 3 wireless system or their own lav/shotgun mics and get excellent results.
Can I do multi-camera podcast setups?
Absolutely. Many podcasters bring 2–3 cameras for multi-angle edits (wide shot, host closeup, guest closeup). With 12 C-stands included and optional lighting add-ons, you can build a Joe Rogan-style multi-camera setup. Need a camera operator or video editor? We can arrange crew at competitive rates.
Can I use the green screen for virtual backgrounds?
